From managing a half a billion dollar development of a RAAF building in Victoria to renovating my Phillip Island home, I have worked as a builder and carpenter on a wide range of building projects over the past 23 years.
This involved placements in residential, commercial and joinery companies where I was able to immerse myself in many areas of construction, and running my own building business.
Each project often has its own challenges, and I like to push the boundaries to realise that anything is possible and using both traditional methods and new-age ones.
I have a keen interest in working on exciting, complicated projects that require my skill-set and PurposeBUILD people’s dream homes.

Kathryn Durham
I have over 14 years of experience in interior design and renovating and worked on numerous residential design projects in Kiama and the surrounding areas.
I particularly enjoy interacting with clients, the spacial planning and drafting processes and going between the office and job-sites where I work closely with trades.
In 2017 I was commissioned to style and furnish the properties at Dovecote, an award-winning luxury property overlooking Werri Beach in Gerringong. By mid 2018 I was engaged to manage the business and during this time I designed and project managed the installation of the new kitchen in The Headland property.
I am very excited to be part of the creative and talented PurposeBUILD team.

Ian Robinson
I have worked in the building industry for around 25 years and in many fields of construction, including fine joinery and carpentry.
I have taken on many unique and bespoke building opportunities such as a shearing shed conversion, the redevelopment of St Vincent Hospital and the iconic Sydney Opera House. What made these projects satisfying, and given me a deep appreciation of, has not only been the interesting visions delivered by the architects but the surrounding landscapes in which these buildings sat, from backyards at family homes to properties with the Sydney harbour as the backdrop. I believe buildings should be in harmony with their environment and have a clear, unambiguous purpose.
I look forward to working with clients and our PurposeBUILD team to achieve this in all our builds.
